At this time, Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) offers two grant programs, General Operating Support and Project Support.
General Operating Support
The General Operating Support (GOS) grant program is designed to provide unrestricted core support for established, fiscally sound arts or cultural organizations that consistently offer high quality services to a broad audience. The GOS grants are offered every three years through a highly competitive application process. Qualifying organizations must meet eligibility requirements outlined in the GOS Guidelines and, if eligible, compete in a public Grant Application Panel Review. If qualified, GOS grantee organizations are approved for funding for up to three years. The next General Operating Support grant application will be open in 2010.
Project Support
The Project Support (PS) grant program is offered annually and is designed to support quality arts or cultural projects, activities, or programs that take place in Cuyahoga County and are open and available to the public. Grant applicants compete in a public Grant Application Panel Review for points to be eligible to qualify for funding.
The goals and objectives for CAC's grant programs are as follows:
Stabilize and strengthen our community's valuable arts and cultural organizations and institutions.
Encourage innovation by funding new programs and projects.
Sustain and increase arts and cultural educational opportunities by encouraging collaborations and new programming.
Promote the value of arts and culture by increasing community participation and access to quality projects, programs and activities.
Foster cross-cultural understanding and awareness by supporting diverse programs and collaborations.
Measure, evaluate and report to the citizens of Cuyahoga County the impact of public sector funding for arts and culture.
